The origin and distribution of the freshwater fishes of the British Isles
-
Karel Janko is the postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Fish Genetics. His research interests aim in the understanding of the evolution of asexuality and the effects of coexistence of sperm-parthenogens on parental populations. Mark A. Culling is the postgraduate student in the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Conservation, University of East Anglia, where he studies the effects of Quaternary climatic shifts on evolution of freshwater fishes. Petr Ráb, the head of the Laboratory of Fish Genetics, specializes on the karyotype evolution of loaches. Research interests of Petr Kotlík include the understanding of effects of the Quaternary climate changes on evolution, as well as their significance to conservation issues.
