    • The developmental history of Ti-FI catalysts for syndioselective propylene polymerization seems confused. One of the referees pointed out that syndioselective propylene polymerization with a Ti-FI catalyst was first reported by Coates in June 2000 (Angew. Chem., Int. Ed. 2000, 39, 3626). However, in January 2000, highly syndiospecific propylene polymerizations with Ti-FI catalysts were reported by researchers at Mitsui Chemicals (WO-0155231), which represents the first examples of syndioselective propylene polymerization using FI catalysts and related complexes.
