    • One reviewer pointed out that the anodic voltammetric peak in Figure 2b occurs at more positive potentials than the peak in Figure 2a. Careful examination of these two voltammograms shows that, at the negative edge of the polymer oxidation, there is essentially no catalysis (i.e., curves a and b overlap exactly). One conclusion that might be drawn from this observation is that, prior to ca. 1.1V, the Fe has not yet undergone significant oxidation. The fact that the peak in the catalytic voltammogram is shifted by ca. 80 mV thus could be the result of slow kinetics or the fact that the Fe(III/IV) process occurs at a slightly more positive potential than the dominant Ru(II/III) processes under which it is buried.
