Excellent review on epidemiologic data and immune mechanisms involved in the relationship of geohelminth infections and development of allergy and asthma. In particular, the author provides a very interesting and detailed discussion of events in early life that may be taking place during exposure to helminths, which could lead to sensitization or tolerance, and subsequent protection from allergic diseases.
