    • Experimental procedure: 4-hydroxy-1-methyl-2-quinolone (0.20 mmol, 35 mg), benzaldehyde (0.30 mmol, 32 mg), and N-acethyltryptamine (0.20 mmol, 40 mg) were added to the reaction vessel and suspended in acetic acid (2.0 mL). The mixture was stirred at 70°C for 20 h. The reaction mixture was evaporated and the residual mixture was purified by silica gel thin layer chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate = 1/2) to provide 75 mg (0.16 mmol) of SF2809-V.
