    • A Gaussian profile is the limiting shape of eq. (1) for strong coupling. Here we are interested in shape and position of the pseudogap behavior near μ which is dominated by the polaren effects in the first DOS peak. Therefore a simple Gaussian approximation for the second peak is fully sufficient.
