Recently, several groups working in the field of ultracold molecules demonstrated a controlled variation of the scattering length in alkali-metal atom interactions over a wide range of negative and positive values through a Feshbach resonance. This raises the hope to demonstrate the Efimov effect under these unusual conditions. For references see, for example, E. A. Donley et al., Nature (London) 417, 529 (2002);

2-HCl cluster, for example, the binding between the hydrogen and chlorine atoms is comparatively tight [43]. It is, however, required that electronic or rovibrational excitations of the molecule cannot occur at the energies available in a nozzle beam (a few tens of meV).
