Laparoscopic adhesiolysis in patients with chronic abdominal pain: A blinded randomized controlled multi-center trial

Swank DJ, Swank-Bordewijk SCG, Hop WCJ, et al. Laparoscopic adhesiolysis in patients with chronic abdominal pain: a blinded randomized controlled multi-center trial. Lancet 2003; 361:1247-1251. This is the only double-blind, randomized, evidence-based study about the benefits of laparoscopic adhesiolysis for chronic abdominal pain. Its conclusions are in contrast to those of other studies, and should be familiar to gynaecologists and surgeons dealing with adhesions.
