    • We have found that substituents R' have no effect on the reactivity of 5-aminopyrazoles 7 or the yields of pyrazolo[3,4-e]isoquinolines 10. Around 200 derivatives 10 have been synthesized by this scheme, for screening of their biological activity, and some representative examples have been included in this paper.
