The use of the Evan's Blue (EvB) and MTT-staining methods for assessment of sensitivity of the endospores of Rhinosporidium seeberi to anti-microbial drugs and anti-rhinosporidial antibody. Bull Sri Lanka Coll Microbiol 2003; 1:OP11. This report is of preliminary results on drug-sensitivity testing with R. seeberi, using the MTT-reduction method as a test of viability. It is clearly of importance in providing alternative therapies to dapsone, which remains the only drug that is now used, based mainly on clinical evidence.
