29. 0 = ab with b = 1/2 + 2 ln 2b∼1.75, so that the potential wells keep as symmetric as possible when a varies. This leads to oscillation frequencies of the same order of magnitude at the beginning and at the end of the splitting process.
30. This conclusion is similar to the result in [17]. It is difficult to make a direct comparison between the two, since our tunneling rate does not decrease following a simple exponential.
