    • A search of the Cambridge Crystallographic Database (v. 5.25, July 2004) revealed no examples of neutral acetohydroxamic acid coordination to transition metal ion. However, the crystal structure of a tris(pyrazolyl)borate-ligated mononuclear zinc complex having a coordinated acetohydroxamato anion and a cocrystallized molecule of free acetohydroxamic acid has been reported, indicating that for this type of Zn(II) center, binding of the anion is preferred.
