1. Observational studies, unlike RCTs, do not involve any intervention to study participants; they measure health outcomes as they naturally occur in real-world populations. Systematic evidence reviews are structured analyses of available evidence from a comprehensive literature search with a detailed evaluation of the quality of studies found and a summary of their findings. Decision models are formal analytic frameworks, which may incorporate costs, the value of out comes, and the probabilities for particular benefits and harms to assess the overall benefits and costs of treatment alternatives.
