Results on the various allylsilane reagents tried are given in the Supporting Information. There is one report of tetraallylsilane addition to chiral N-acylhydrazones, in which a chirality exists in the substrate and the asymmetric induction arises from chirality transfer of the substrate (ref 5d). Neither tetraallylsilane addition to aldimines nor catalytic asymmetric addition of it has been reported.

Water was employed as it was found to promote allylation in the case of allyltributylstannane but this was not the case with silanes. Fernandes, R. A.; Stimac, A.; Yamamoto, Y. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2003, 125, 14133.
