In [18, 19], a BCS value was implicitly assumed for the relaxation time of fluctuations. This was shown to be in fact correct for HTSC in RAMALLO M. V. et al., Europhys. Lett., 48 (1999) 79.

A review of the analyses of superconducting fluctuations in HTSC in terms of the multilayered GGL model without interlayer energy savings was presented in VIDAL F. and RAMALLO M. V., The Gap Symmetry and Fluctuations in High Temperature Superconductors, edited by BOK J. et al. (Plenum, London) 1998, p. 477. These analyses have been recently extended also to the high-ε region (ε ≳ 0.1); see, e.g., VIDAL F. et al., Europhys. Lett., 59 (2002) 754 and references therein.

c on hole doping, and also on N for N ≳ 4 (when eq. (1) may fail [4]), to add to that functional the possible effects of a competing (pseudogap) order parameter and of charge (doping) imbalances between nonequivalent layers. These effects are not expected to significantly influence the tests discussed in the present letter, at least for the N ≤ 3 and optimally doped case on which we focused.
