To prepare PbSe-titania nanocomposites, 40% octylamine-modified poly(acrylic acid) is added to a chloroform solution of PbSe NCs until the NCs become alcohol-soluble. The chloroform is evaporated, and a solution of the NC-polymer complex in ethanol is prepared. Following the addition of titanium butoxide (1:1 PbSe/titania mass ratio), the solution is allowed to stir for 1.5 h at room temperature. It is then filtered through a 0.2 μm syringe filter and spin-coated onto the appropriate substrate.
