    • The difference between zinc and magnesium would be very important when changing the local environment around the metal; for. example, reduction of the hydration would be associated with larger increase of the base-hydrated cation interaction for zinc, since it should converge to the binding energy difference of ca. 35 kcal/mol in favor of zinc for unsolvated cations.
