13. A wire saw can also be used for more precise cutting of the tubes. A spacer formed from Tefton/mica/Teflon in place of the brass shimstock prevents scratching the nozzle upon removal [Ilya Shkrob (personal communication)].
14. The stable jet of ethylene glycol was only observed for the wider nozzle (200 μm).
15. Some liquids initially require brushing the span of the wires with an inert material to form a smooth curtain.
