    • The increase in rectification in neurons expressing homomeric GluR1 (a factor of ∼1.3) is considerably smaller than the reduction by GluR1-ct (a factor of ∼2.5). This is consistent with transient delivery of GluR1-containing receptors with subsequent replacement by GluR2-containing receptors. Alternative explanations, such as the delivery of other long-tailed AMPA-Rs (e.g., GluR4 or GluR2-long) during experience, which may be perturbed by GluR1-ct, are possible.
