    • The results of fits of the tricritical to mean-field crossover model to the temperature dependence of the tilt angle yields variations in the fit parameters as ρs is increased. The fourthorder term in the free energy expansion appears to increase with respect to the second-order term with increasing aerosil concentration. This is consistent with the system moving away from tricriticality. The variation is small and there is no obvious trend in the raw data.
