note
-
Endothermic processes can be observed if the kinetic energy of the colliding ion is increased However, usually it is to difficult to precisely control the kinetic energy of the ions so that meaningful kinetic data can not be obtained.

note
-
The rearrangement occurs in the cyclohexadienyl radical moiety of the distonic ion Therefore, a 1,2-H shift would correspond to the unfavorable shift of a H atom, not to the much more favorable migration of a proton.

note
-
This value is uncertain, since the heat of formation of the 2-chloroallyl radical is not known and has to be estimated either by extrapolation from data of related compounds, by isodesmic reactions, or by ab-initio calculations. Two former methods give values of the deprotonation enthalpy between -6 and -13, while according to ab-initio calculations the deprotonation is endothermic by 24 kJ/mol.
