    • The sample is not large enough and the velocities are not accurate enough to (i) detect tidal streams in front or behind the LMC and (ii) measure the systemic rotation of the halo RR Lyrae population. However, from a sample of this size, and with velocities measured to this accuracy, there is no difficulty in measuring the velocity dispersion and thus distinguishing a disk population from a halo population in the LMC.
