    • The loading of Fc-PAA and Fc-PEI in each layer could not be determined from the QCM measurements because significant amounts of Fc-PAA and Fc-PEI located at the outermost surface in the film were dissolved into the PVS solution upon adsorption of the next PVS layer. Therefore, we have to determine the loading of the (Fc-PAA + PVS) and (Fc-PEI + PVS) bilayer pairs.
