Cognitive behavioral treatment for depressed adolescent offspring of depressed parents in a health maintenance organization [efficacy study]
-
Clarke GN, Hornbrook KM, Lynch F, et al. Cognitive behavioral treatment for depressed adolescent offspring of depressed parents in a health maintenance organization [efficacy study]. J Am Acad Child Adolesc Psychiatry 2002; 41:305-313. Surprisingly, the CBT program was not superior to care from a health-maintenance organization. As CBT has been found to be effective in the treatment of adolescent depression in other studies, the authors state that their study should not be taken as providing evidence that CBT is ineffective in this group.
