    • Absorption of the SWNT film measured in a Spectralon integrating sphere (Labsphere) shows the same features as the spectrum in Figure 2. but with lower background. The difference is due to light scattering and becomes particularly significant (> 30% of the background) blow ∼500 nm (unpublished results). Light scattering in the centrifuged SWNT dispersion is not significant; therefore, Figure 2b represents practically its true optical absorption.
