    • Using THF to dissolve the PS template also caused the removal of a small amount of copolymer from the film (coloring the solution yellow), with the π-π* interband transition of the resulting polymer inverse opal shifted by nearly 40 nm.

    • Both the π-π* interband transition and the polaron band of a control copolymer film prepared on a bare indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrate were found to be insensitive to the treatment undergone by the inverse opal films. However, certain undoping treatments may eliminate the occurrence of the bipolaron transition.
