    • The effect of domain boundaries on intracrystalline mass transport has recently been investigated by Geier et al. for transport of isobutane in silicalite-1: Geier, O.; Vasenkov, S.; Lehmann, E.; Karger, J.; Rakoczy, R.A.; Weitkamp, J. Stud. Surf. Sci. Catal. 2001, 135, 154. The adsorption layer was in this case very mobile and thus no effect of increased permeability along these boundaries has been found.
