    • The magnetic structure of the AFM phase in CeB6 is the so-called double k-k′ type that involves a noncollinear arrangement of the magnetic dipoles. See ref. 11 for details. It is expected that such a structure can be stabilized by next-nearest-neighbor interactions in contrast with nearest-neighbor ones for the AFQ phase.

    • 5 quadrupoles are of the composite form of τ and σ. Therefore any models on the orbital doublet are no more satisfactory to estimate the fluctuation contribution from the high-field limit. In that case the analysis on the original quartet basis is inevitable, and then one must treat the σ-spin operator explicitly. That is the reason why we introduce the extended model (5.1) as a tractable model for an intermediate-field region.
