    • The yield of TPP is determined by removal of aliquots from the condensation mixture, treatment with DDQ, and quantitation by absorption spectroscopy. The "turnover in yield of TPP" reflects the decline in concentration of tetraphenylporphyrinogen, which is the precursor to TPP.
