In the calculations, the domain thickness was taken to be 10 μm at the lower end of likely domain thicknesses of 10-50 μm. Increasing the domain thickness leads to an increasingly rectangular shape of the stop band, in disagreement with experiment. This disagreement may arise from an additional inhomogeneous contribution to the observed linewidths, or from the domain thicknesses actually being close to 10 μm.
