9. A closed scientific communication system is one which the researcher activates by using it, contributing to it, and distributing knowledge through it. The results of what the researcher produces drive another researcher to produce more material, based on the previous results; and this new information is fed back into the system. In this way the scientific system constantly feeds itself, and creates its own theories and paradigms.
