Nat Med 2000, 6:1187-1190. This article describes a revolutionary vaccination technology based on epidermal needle-free powder delivery of viral antigen. Viral antigens delivered by this technology proved to be more immunogenic than after subcutaneous or intramuscular administration with epidermal immunization. A higher level of protective immunity was also achieved.
