    • NI, there is a coexistence of a nematiclike splitting and a isotropiclike peak; in this region δν is weakly T dependent. Once the isotropic peak vanishes, δν rapidly increases with decreasing temperature. The width of the plateau appears to depend on the strength of the NMR field, decreasing with increasing field. The plateau may be a NMR signature signaling the annealing of elastic strain, possibly related to the specific heat double peak seen in [2].

    • This result at a single temperature in the N phase suggests a scaling with the square of the silica density; angular studies at other temperatures are needed.
