    • The following is a typical procedure for the polymerization (entry 4). Under argon, a mixture of divinyl sebacate (0.51 g, 2.0 mmol), glycerol (0.18 g, 2.0 mmol), and linoleic acid (0.56 g, 2.0 mmol) was placed in a and sealed. The tube was kept under gentle stirring at 60 °C for 24 h. A small amount of THF was added to the mixture and the part of the organic solution was separated by filtration. The filtrate was poured into a methanol/water (95:5 vol %). The resulting oily precipitates were collected by centrifugation, followed by drying in vacuo to give 0.60 g of the polymer (yield 58%).
