The LDOT is subjected to a hysteresis effect. Thus, a sufficiently slow cooling process must be employed in order to clearly discern the lattice ordering process during the cooling process. It should be further noted that the rate of the lattice ordering process strongly depends on the equilibrium morphology at low temperature.
