30. 3 were presented in papers I and II. In paper III, an alternative 2D vibrational spectroscopy involving infrared and Raman transitions was theoretically proposed. The second-order spatial derivatives of dipole moment and polarizability of dimer were calculated by using the ab initio method and showed that the corresponding cross-peak intensity in the 2D vibrational spectrum is closely related to the intermolecular distance. Also, the analogy of the 2D vibrational spectroscopy and 2D-NOESY was briefly discussed in paper IV. In paper V, novel three-and rive-wave-mixing 2D vibrational spectroscopies that are particularly designed to be useful for the investigation of the vibrational interactions of adsorbed molecules on surfaces or at interfaces were proposed. Finally, the paper VI presents a theoretical description on the quantum correction terms that were neglected in the previous literatures [Refs. 2, 4, 5, 8, 11, and 12(a)-12(e) above].
