    • The TLSs located very far from the SM are unimportant because they do not contribute to the line shape of the SM (i.e., when region 1 is not empty). Depending on the parameters of the model, it might be worthwhile considering an approximate scheme similar to ours however with a Lorentzian background (i.e., if the TLSs in region 2 are in the fast modulation limit then a Lorentzian rather then Gaussian behavior of the background is expected to hold).
