25. m is much lower; however, the cholesteric phase persists in the interval investigated. The slight curvature observed towards high temperature (data not reported in the figure) could be related to the incipient melting of the quadruplex. In all cases, the plots with and without added salts are very similar; this indicates again that no dissociation of the quadruplexes seems to occur in the temperature range investigated.
