21. 2 reacts with air and moisture, forming a different red crystalline layered compound, which is the subject of further investigations.
22. 2 with modified unit cell axes a = 3.98 Å and c = 33.9 Å. ψ is the angle between the Ge(111) substrate surface (corresponding to (00.1) in polygermyne) and the scattering plane of the respective reflection. The results were: a) simulation (reflection, 2Θ, ψ): (00.6, 15.67°, 0°), (10.-2, 26.36°, -78.5°), (10.4, 27.92°, 67.9°), (10.7, 31.84°, 54.6°); b) measured data (reflection, 2Θ, ψ): (00.6, 15.67°, 0°), (10.-2, 26.38°, -76.7°), (10.4, 27.74°, 67.1°), (10.7, 31.69°, 53.6°).
