    • This article gives strategies to characterise leads, and for quality control. Information on automated, fast reversed-phase C18 HPLC with diode-array detection, followed by atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation MS and NMR is given. Validated libraries are registered in ISIS databases using automated procedures
