    • Changes in motor cortical activity during visuomotor adaptation
    • An important paper with exciting findings in three precentral cortical areas (primary motor cortex, supplementary motor area and dorsal premotor cortex) during several manipulations of visuomotor adaptation. A highlight of the results is the observation that neuronal activity in the motor cortex continued to change for dozens of trials after performance had reached a plateau; this implies a role of the motor cortex in consolidation mechanisms.

    • Correlations for timing consistency among tapping and drawing tasks: Evidence against a single timing process for motor control
    • This paper is a major contribution to the issue of timing as a general mechanism or as a specific parameter bundled within specific motor programs. Three experiments explore and test specific hypotheses and lead to the conclusion that different tasks use timing mechanisms differently. Therefore, timing seems to be a task-specific aspect of a behavior rather than a general-purpose 'clock'.
