    • NOESY and ROESY experiments were used to investigate the preferred orientation of guests within carceplexes: A. M. A. Wageningen, P. Timmerman, J. P. M. van Duynhoven, W. Verboom, F. C. J. M. van Veggel, D. N. Reinhoudt, Chem. Eur. J. 1997, 4, 639-654. Unfortunately, no NOE or ROE contacts between host and guest were observed in 5 · 3 DMF (a spinlock time of 300 ms was used in a ROESY experiment, and a mixing time of 300 ms in a NOESY experiment).
