    • In ref. 10, the critical point is determined by observing the CDW and the SDW structure factor using the density-matrix-renormalization-group method. This result agrees with our level-crossing point of the CDW and the SDW excitations.

    • In ref. 3, an approximation is used to solve the equation for the CDW-SDW phase boundary. However, this treatment is not appropriate, because the contribution from the neglected part is large. In the approximated case, the region where the CDW-SDW transition agrees with the Gaussian line is overestimated up to U/l ∼ 6.
