    • On high voltage cellulose-thin layer electrophoresis (850 V, 4°C, 4 min) using a buffer of formic acid acetic acid water (25:75:900, volume ratio), the relative mobility (0.44) of the resulting HAA to L-alanine was the same as that of the threo isomer (0.44) but different from that of the erythro isomer (0.59), which were checked with ninhydrin.
