    • As discussed in Ref. 3, IEs are a nonlinear function of bond order, being more closely correlated with the relative change in bond order. Thus the IEs associated with a 1.06-fold increase in the N-1-C-2 bond order will be very much smaller than the 40-fold decrease in the C-1′-N-1 bond order.
