    • Molecular identification of spadetail: Regulation of zebrafish trunk and tail mesoderm formation by T-box genes
    • spt, one of the first zebrafish genes identified by mutation to be described in the literature, is shown to encode a T-box gene that interacts genetically with another T-box gene, no tail (ntl)/Brachyury. Both spt and ntl are key mediators of FGF signalling during embryogenesis.
