It is remarkable, that the reaction of 8 with sterically less demanding alkynes yields the two expected regioisomers in a ratio of nearly 1:1. In our experience all other dialkylaminoalkenylcarbenechromium complexes with such alkynes give the two regioisomers in ratios ranging from 7:1 to 1:0.
