Combinations of mivacurium and pancuronium were shown to be more potent than either relaxant alone. Maintenance of twitch suppression with the combination of relaxants decreased the amount of relaxants used.

Comparative clinical pharmacology of rocuronium, cisatracurium, and their combination
-
M, Samarkandi AH, Ammar A, Al-Zahrani S, Comparative clinical pharmacology of rocuronium, cisatracurium, and their combination. Anesthesiology 1998; 89:1116-1124. In this three-part study the authors determined the dose-response relationships for cisatracurium and rocuronium, the time course of four doses of each of the relaxants administered alone and the dose response curves for a combination of the two relaxants. They found that the combination of the relaxants behaved synergistically.

The pharmacodynamics of mivacurium preceded by atracurium or cisatracurium in children
-
Jalkanen L, Rautoma P, Taivainen T, Meretoja OA. The pharmacodynamics of mivacurium preceded by atracurium or cisatracurium in children. Anesth Analg 1998; 86:62-65. Mivacurium administered after 25% recovery following mivacurium, cisatracurium or atracurium-induced neuromuscular block. Recovery in the patients receiving cisatracurium or atracurium was significantly prolonged when compared with the patients who had received only mivacurium. As no dose response studies were done we cannot determine whether or not these relaxants behave synergistically.
