    • Ba = 1.1 ± 0.5, one obtains for log K = 1.1, log Δ = -0.14±0.06 (as given in Table 3), for log K = 0.6 (lower limit) log Δ = -0.18±0.06, and for log K = 1.6 (upper limit) log Δ = -0.04±0.06. This means, even with these extreme assumptions one does not reach a positive value for log Δ comparable to the results observed for the complexes of the 3d ions.
