    • A recent search of the Cambridge Crystallographic Database yielded seven examples of transition metal complexes containing a keto-imine moiety [cf. Formula C]. However, all these structures are inconclusive as to the true nature of the chelate rings. The systematic names of the ligands either imply negative charges, or the number of counterions does not match the oxidation state of the central metal ion.
